We are truly honored that you are considering Shady Acres as an option for your special day. You may not know us, but we are a family who is addicted to love! We have a love for farming, sustaining the environment, the arts, cooking our jams, and most of all, each other. We also LOVE to see love celebrated. We pride ourselves in making our venue an intimate experience.
We are a combination inside and outdoor venue. Cocktail hour flows from indoor to outdoor, and our reception area is outdoor. Our capacity is 125 people. We charge a flat rate of $2900 (2017 rate).
Let's envision your day:
The bride and her party will be accommodated in our vintage-chic bridal suite while the Groom and groomsmen get to relax in their very own private bar space.
If you choose to be married in the woods, your guests will be waiting for you on our log and plank benches. You will be walking down our beautiful flagstone isle and arrive at our branch arbor surrounded by trees. If you choose the Orchard, your guests will be waiting for you in the fresh open air. You will be walking down amongst our pear trees and arrive at your garden gate arbor with the beautiful neighboring horse farm as your backdrop.
Cocktail hour will take place in our main barn, complete with a state of the art, beautiful commercial kitchen. Our barn is newly constructed with fantastic woodwork and already includes cocktail tables, lounge furniture and décor. Your guests will mingle and flow outside to our deck and grounds, while they overlook the farm and horses frolicking across the street.
In the meantime, you will be off with your bridal party getting photographed at one of our 125 year old outbuildings or our koi pond with its calming water feature. Let’s not forget our deep woods pine forest, which feels like you are entering a fairy tale.
Your reception will be in one of two locations located just a hop skip and a jump from the barn. Time to party! Oh, and we have a farm stand that we converted into a bar for you to use if you wish.

❖ Use of barn and designated grounds west of the greenhouse house for entire event

❖ Firepit at the end of the party to wrap up the evening (Operated by Shady Acres staff)
What’s not included (these can all be obtained at very reasonable rates from our preferred vendors):
❖ Tent, tables and seating for your reception (our approved caterers can handle all of this!)
❖ Seating if you wish to have your ceremony in the orchard
❖ Porta potties (for events over 50 people)
We have a selection of props that are available to rent from the farm at affordable rental rates. These include such things as lights, various décor, votives, and tablecloths. You will also have access to our preferred vendor list for any of your other rental needs. Our vendors make the process very simple and easy.
Don’t forget! We also offer the barn for private parties and showers. Ask us for more info if you are interested!
