The weather since Wednesday has been absolutely beautiful. If it could only stay this way all summer. No rain but the heat from the start of the week has made he tomatoes very happy. The tiny Ceylons have started to ripen. They are always the first, so watch out--the rest will be coming soon!
This week we have green and yellow beans, Kirby cucumbers, summer squash, broccoli, lettuce, globe turnips, our three different kales (curly, Russian and Dino), Swiss chard, kohlrabi, sorrel and a variety of herbs including beautiful basil and pickling dill.
The homemade breads are in the oven, zucchini bread and cookies are done, quiche tomorrow. Sasha will have some of her prepared meals available also.
Hope to see you this weekend.
