We still have wonderful butternut squash, acorn squash, kale, spinach, beets, carrots, sorrel and fresh organic herbs. The heirloom green tomatoes are in a basket and turning as we speak. Sadly the beans that would have been ready this week froze last week with those two ridiculously cold days.
On our meal take out menu we have butternut squash apple soup and a hearty vegetable barley soup. Pick some up with some homemade whole wheat/honey bread or English Muffin bread and what a nice meal on a cold day. Our grain salads are quinoa, sweet potato and apple and Mediterranean Bulgur wheat salad. Of course the quiches will be ready also.
